Driving up the standards
The new Driving Instructors Association website, launched today, enables members of the public to search for all levels of driving instructors across the UK. Additionally, instructors are able to source their requirements through the DIA's national network of professionally qualified trainers and examiners. This has been made possible by the customisation and integration of the Google Maps API.
The new website also has a shop where guests and members are able to purchase from a wide range of merchandising and training courses. Access to certain products and services is restricted depending on their membership status. Discounts only apply when members are logged-in.
The online shop benefits from a custom built shopping cart and secure payments are processed through Sage Pay.
The website is directly linked with the DIA's in-house membership database and the structure and content of the site can easily be managed by them through the integration of our custom built, content management solution.
Ailsa Paddon from the DIA said, "Thank you all very much for your hard work and patience with us, I think we have ended up with a tremendous website that will become an astonishing tool not only for us but also our members as well.".

The Driving Instructors Association was founded in 1978 to represent the interests of the professional driving instructor. It is regularly consulted by all the relevant Government bodies, has representation in Parliament, and enjoys influence in Europe and throughout the world.
